How can I register as an employee of the KIT?
You can create an account under the navigation point Registration Employee of the KIT. Please use therefore you KIT e-mail address. As soon as your registration is completed you can edit your profile, invert some more information, edit your Logo or directly start with the placement of ads.
If your department is already registered you can add another user account as a sub account. Thereby the main account of the department will be notified. As soon as the main account has activated your account you can access the advertisements.
How can I place an ad?
If you want to place an ad in the job market you have to log-in to your account. Under the navigation point “job market” --> “place ad” you can place an ad by yourself. As an employee of the KIT you can use for free automatically premium packages to place an ad.
What happens to your ad after the runtime is over?
A few days before the runtime of your ad is over you will receive an information e-mail. In this notification you have the opportunity to extent the runtime. If you do not want to extent the runtime your ad will be automatically be removed of the job market and will be switched offline. If necessary you can put the ad back online anytime.
What can I do if I change departments of the KIT?
In this case please get in contact with the Career Service-Portal team.
How can I change the information of my department of the KIT?
The owner of the main account of the department can edit the information of the department. The only exception is the name of the department. I the case of a name change of the department or if you do not know how the user of the main account is please contact our team.
How can the main account be transferred to a sub account?
The user of the main account can transfer the main account to a sub account if he clicks on the navigation point “My account” --> “settings”. If the user of the main account is not available anymore please contact our support team.

How can I register as a job seeker in the Career Service-Portal?
Under the navigation point Registration job seeker & mentee you can create a user account. The here provided information is not visible on the website. To confirm your registration an automatic e-mail with a confirmation link will be sent to you. As soon as you have an account and are logged-in you can create an application profile.
Why should I create an account as a job seeker?
The job market connects companies with students, graduates and alumni of the KIT. If you create a personal profile and upload you CV there will be more options: Companies can find you under certain criteria (for example career status, the desired kind of job, the desired company department as well as the job region). Companies have also the opportunity to view your qualifications and information’s and contact you with a specific job offer.
With a personal account you have also the opportunity to save your job search criteria and be informed via e-mail about new job offers.
In your personal profile you can decide by yourself if certain information’s like you name and address are visible for he companies. Please notice here that all personal information’s that are visible on you uploaded CV are published and can be downloaded to get in contact or some more information’s.
Companies can directly sent unencrypted messages to the provided e-mail address. Your e-mail address is hereby not visible for the companies.
How can I find a suitable employer?
At the job search in the job market under “further search criteria” you can filter companies by your desired criteria. If you save your search you can also get suitable job offers per e-mail.
Companies have also the opportunity – if you created a profile – to find you under the information of your career status, the desired kind of job, the desired company department as well as the job region and contact you with a specific job offer.
Who can find my profile in the job market?
Only in the job market registered companies can get access to your application profile. Only after a more detailed examination by means of the trade register excerpt will be the function “application profiles” unlocked.
What does the job market coast me?
Nothing! The service and the offers on the job market is for job seekers for free.
Can I delete my profile?
Of course you can delete your profile and your account at any time complete and irrevocable. Your information is then not detectable. We will notice you that we are not liable for the copying, saving and confidential treatment of your information due through external companies. Please be aware of this if you put certain personal information’s in your CV.
Can I change the information’s in my profile?
Yes. If you log-in to your personal account you can get access to your profile and CV and you can look through, correct, update, change and delete them.

FAQ Companies

How can I register as a company in the Career Service-Portal?
You can create an account under the navigation point registration companies & institutes . The account will be activated in the next two working days. As soon as your registration is completed and you are logged-in to your account you can edit your information, add more information, upload a company logo or start directly to insert ads or buy job packages.

If your company is already registered you can add an additional sub account. Thereby the main account of your company will be informed. As soon as the main account has activated your sub account you have access to the job packages.

Please note that for the CV Search a verification of your company is necessary. You find more information further down.

How do I insert an advertisement?
Our new Career Service-Portal offers different opportunities to insert job offers. If you insert your ad you can chose between five different opportunities with various characteristics and Individualizations: from the free basic ad till the deluxe ad, which includes additional four week presentation of your ad in the section “Top Jobs”. The job market offers the right solution for all of your vacancies.
All the details as well as the run-times you can find under Ads and Prices .
After the purchase of your ads you can insert your job offers by yourself. The ad will be reviewed and then appear in the job overview. As of this date your ad will be visible until the end of the run-time. The only exception is that you deactivated the ad because you could fill the position.
What happens after the run-time of the ad ended?
A few days prior the ending of your run-time you will receive an information note per mail. In this mail you will receive the opportunity to extend the run-time (except basic ads). If you do not wish to extend the run-time your ad will be taken of the job market. If the ad was inserted as a basic advertisement it will be deleted after the run-time finished. All other ads will be taken offline and can be reactivated through the buying of a new ad.
How can I buy ads?
If you want to insert job offers you need to buy ads. These ads you can buy under the navigation point “job market”  “Buy ads” in your personal profile.
Order process and invoicing
After the receipt of your order you will receive an order conformation per e-mail to your provided e-mail address. There you will also find more information’s to the payment. We will send the original bill promptly to your provided invoice address. Your ordered ads will be activated usually in the next two working days. You will receive an e-mail with a notification to the activation.
Verification of your account for the sighting of the CVs
Your account must be verified for the usage of the ad “CV search“ which is necessary for the data protection requirements.
We will assess your company by means of your trade register excerpt. After positive assessment your account will be verified and you can use the CV search after buying.
The provided information’s of students, graduates and alumni of the KIT serve solely for the use to get in contact with the goal to propose an interesting offer. The misuse of the data especially through the transfer to third parties will be pursued when it becomes known. Should you do not fulfill our criteria we receive the right to exclude you from the access to the CV profiles.
Search for suitable students
After the verification of your company you receive the opportunity to get access to a database of promising CVs from students, graduates and alumni of one of the leading technical universities in Germany. Therefor you have to only buy the ad “CV search”. After the purchase you will have by first activation four weeks access to the CV profiles. If you found a suitable candidate you have the opportunity to get in contact with him.
How can I edit the company information’s?
The user of the main account of the company can edit company all company information’s except for the company name. In the last case or of you do not know who is the user of the main account please contact our support team.
How can I transfer the main account to a sub account?
The user of the main account can transfer the account to a sub account under the navigation point „my account“. If the user of the main account is not available anymore, for example do through the leaving of the company, contact our support team.

FAQ Data Protection

What happens with my data? Are they protected?
The KIT is liable to ensure the requirements of the data protection and the KIT took precautions to ensure the security of your data. For example the whole communication of your computer with our server is with SSL secured. Further technical measures ensure that the protection of the saved data on our server meets the data protection.

  • Your data will be processed as written in the FAQ. With your registration and the establishment of your profile you agree to this.
  • The entry to the CV database serves only the using companies of the CV search to get in contact with suitable candidates to inform them about an interesting offer. The misuse of the data by a company will be pursued as known.
With data is recorded you can inform yourself in the Data Protection of the Career Service-Portal.
Right to information
According to §§ 21, 22 LDSG you have the right upon request to get informed for free about the information’s about you that are saved by the Innovations und relation management of the KIT and let them be corrected. Please transmit your request in written form to the KIT, Innovations- und Relationsmanagement, Vincenz-Prießnitz-Str. 1, 76131 Karlsruhe.
